# Delete customer

### How Deleting customers works in Growlytics:

You can archive customer profiles instead of deleting customer profiles. When you archive customers, Growlytics removes all the identifiable information about the customers like email, mobile, name, etc. Such a customer will be considered an anonymous customer.

This way, you will be able to archive customers and still have all the activity history in place.

**How to archive your customers?**\
To archive customers, you can follow the steps given below:

1. Login to your Growlytics account.
2. Click on Customers from the Menu on the left side.
3. Filter and click on the customer that you want to archive.
4. You will be redirected to the Customer Details page. At the top right corner of the Customer Details page, you will see the Settings icon. Click on the Settings icon and click on the 'Archive Customers' button.
5. You will need to confirm the archiving of the customer.
6. Once you archive the customer, the customer profile will be refreshed and you will see that the registered customer has been converted to an anonymous customer.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.growlytics.in/customers-and-segments/customer-profile/delete-customer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
