Customers across the globe are increasingly turning to platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and other such apps to connect with their friends, family, and colleagues. It is natural for customers to expect a similar experience when it comes to communicating with brands. They prefer real-time responses instead of waiting for agent responses or passive communication over emails.

A WhatsApp chat custom reply can help you respond to your customers' queries in real-time. You can now provide the speed the customers expect through automations.

To get started with setting up and automating your WhatsApp Chat Custom Reply you can follow these steps or watch this quick tutorial.

  1. Log in to your Growlytics Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the 'Conversations' tab from the menu bar on the left.

  3. Select the 'Automations' tab on the menu bar on the left.

  4. Click on 'Add New Custom Reply' on the top right corner of the page.

  5. In the popup that opens

    1. Enter the name of your Custom Auto Reply, for example, "Order Shipment Status"

    2. Add the customer input for which you want the Custom Auto Reply to be triggered. For example, "Where is my order?", and "Is my order dispatched?" will be the two variables we will enter. You can enter up to 5 variables for each automation. When a customer types in any one of them, the auto-response will get triggered.

    3. Enter the type of Auto-reply you would want to trigger when a customer sends in any one of the variations in the chat. For example, "Your order is confirmed and on its way 🚚. Here is the link to track your order [order URL]"

    4. Click on 'Create Custom Reply'

You have successfully created a WhatsApp Chat Custom Auto Reply.

You can always go back and edit Name, Customer Input, or Custom Auto Reply and click on 'Save Changes'.

Now when a customer opens their WhatsApp chat with your brand and types in a response that matches the entries you have made for your WhatsApp Custom Auto Replies, the response to their query will automatically get triggered.
